Setting up your account

Table of contents

Before working in Cloud Cruiser, you must set up your Amazon Web Services account to work with the collector.

To set up your account
  1. Enable programmatic billing for each Amazon account that will be processed.
    1. Specify the S3 bucket.
The bucket name is used when configuring the download job. Amazon has information how to set this up at http://docs.amazonwebservices.com/aw...ramaccess.html.
    2. Enable the Cost Allocation Report.
The report can be enabled from the same billing preferences page where programmatic access is setup. For information on this report, go to http://docs.amazonwebservices.com/aw...tml#allocation.
  2. Create a virtual user with an access key ID and a secret key and secure access to the S3 bucket.
Go to Amazon's Identity and Access Management (IAM) service at http://aws.amazon.com/iam/.
