Setting user roles

You can select the following user roles in Cloud Cruiser from the Administration > Users page: You must be logged in as a user with the Admin role:

  • Admin: Can perform all administration functions. This includes launching batch jobs, configuring budgets and alerts, managing users, defining the account structure, and defining system configuration. This role also has the permissions granted by all other roles.
  • Advanced Analytics: Can run Cloud Cruiser Analytics reports. Will see these reports, not ad-hoc reports, when choosing Analytics > Advanced Reports.
  • Customer Budget: Can view and edit customer budgets. You should usually assign this role and the Report User role together.
  • Post Usage Data: Can use the REST API to send usage data to Cloud Cruiser as documented in Publishing usage data.
  • Report User: Can view reports and run the business intelligence tools.
